Furby
Furby was my first Mech Pet and the one most responsible for igniting my passion for mechanical creatures.He is a small furry robot who is packed with sensors that allow him to enteract with his owner and environment.He was invented by Dave Hampton and distributed by Tiger Electronics.

Tomy Omnibot
Not really an electronic pet,more of a personal robot but as one of AG Bear's contemporaries I felt he deserved a mention.The Omnibot was one of many robots created by Tomy in the 1980s.He could be remote controlled or programmed to roll around on a set course.You moved him around with the remote control and the motions would be stored on a cassette.You could then set his clock and he would begin to follow the course programmed in at a specific time.Useful if you wanted to have Omnibot serve food or drinks at a party or wake you up in the morning.
